What is ECU Remapping?
Your vehicle’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) controls fuelling, ignition timing, boost pressure, torque limits and more. Manufacturers set conservative “one-map-fits-all” calibrations for global climates, fuel qualities and servicing routines.
Remapping is the precise recalibration of these tables to release performance within safe limits for a healthy, well-maintained engine.

What is TCU / Gearbox Remapping?
Modern automatics (DSG, ZF, 7G/9G, Aisin, etc.) use a Transmission Control Unit (TCU) to manage shift timing, line pressure, torque limits and launch behaviour.
TCU remapping complements the ECU calibration so the gearbox can use the engine’s additional torque confidently and smoothly.

Our Process

Pre-check & diagnostics– full diagnosis vehicle health scan, using garage quality diagnostic tools.

Read ECU/TCU – Using industry-grade tools (Auto Tuner, Kess, Flex). This will either be a OBD read via the OBD port, a BENCH Read (Normally done by removing ECU from the vehicle and pinning directly to the pins on the ECU, sometimes this is done in place when the ECU is difficult to be removed but the pins can still be accessed) or in some rare cases we may have to BOOT read (removing the ECU from the vehicle, opening up the ECU and probing directly to points on the ECU circuit board)

Calibration – Stage or map modification built for your vehicle, fuel and use-case (road, tow, light track).

Programming & adaptation – safe write procedure, gearbox adaptations where required.
